Pilates is a movement system utilizing mat exercises and various spring-loaded apparatus created by Joseph Pilates. It is a method which works to strengthen the core and tone the body and yet it is so much more! Pilates is also a discipline focused on attaining overall health and well-being. As Joseph Pilates said, "Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness".

About Ondi Hozian, PA-C, NCPT

Ondi Hozian is a certified Second Generation Pilates Master Teacher, receiving this title in 2023 after having the honor to train with First Generation Pilates Master Teacher Lolita San-Miguel. Lolita was trained by Joseph and Clara Pilates and was one of only two individuals directly certified to teach his method.

Ondi was first introduced to Pilates in 2002. She was classically trained in ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance. She found herself in her first Pilates mat class when she was late for her ballet lesson and thought she would try the class across the hall instead. She immediately became passionate about the method. She was comprehensively certified in Pilates in 2004, by Master Teacher Elizabeth Jones-Boswell B.S., M.Ed, in Spokane, WA.

After teaching Pilates for several years at Precision Pilates of Spokane, Ondi pursued her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. As a Physician Assistant, she work in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Obesity Medicine. She is a certified Obesity Medicine Specialist and has completed several courses through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Though she is not currently practicing, she maintains her medical license.

Ondi maintained a self practice, and taught Pilates on and off over the years. She started officially teaching again in 2021 and never looked back. Ondi sees the work as truly life changing. She has found herself helping people in a different way to improve their health and wellness through mindful movement. She truly believes that "movement is medicine."
